AFCAT 2 Notification 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Flying Branch:
- Minimum of 50% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level.
- Graduates (minimum three years degree course) in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
- BE/B Tech (four-year course) from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
- Ground Duty (Technical):
- Minimum of 50% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level.
- Four years degree graduation/integrated post-graduation in Engineering/ Technology from a recognized university.
- Ground Duty (Non-Technical):
- A graduate degree (minimum three-year degree course) in any discipline from a recognized university with 60% marks or equivalent.
- Specific qualifications for the Administrative, Accounts, and Logistics branches are mentioned in the notification.
Age Limit
- Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years as on 1st July 2024. (Born between 2nd July 2000 to 1st July 2004)
- Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical): 20 to 26 years as of 1st July 2024. (Born between 2nd July 1998 to 1st July 2004)
AFCAT 2 Selection Process
The selection process for AFCAT involves a three-stage evaluation:
- Written Exam: This computer-based online test assesses a candidate’s knowledge in Mathematics, Reasoning and General Awareness, English, and, for Technical posts, a dedicated section on their specific field.
- Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) Test: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a rigorous AFSB test that evaluates their suitability for military life through various psychological and aptitude tests.
- Medical Examination: Candidates who qualify for the AFSB will be called for a medical examination to ensure they meet the required physical standards for IAF service.
