The marriage of Drake Bell and Janet Von Schmeling ended in divorce.
They were married in 2018 after dating for five years and have a son together, but a source claims the actress, now 28, split from the former Nickelodeon star “a few months ago.”
An informant said that even though the ex-couple is no longer together, parenting remains a key concern for everyone involved.
“Janet is committed to parenting their son,” the report continues. “Drake and Janet are devoted to keeping their co-parenting relationship amicable and providing the best life they can for their son.”
We attempted to get in touch with the polarizing couple through their respective emissaries.
After the Daily Mail published photographs and video of Bell, 36, allegedly consuming balloons in his car while parked at a California vape shop in December, the couple announced their separation a few weeks later. Bell’s little son was visible in the backseat in one of the two instances captured on camera.
The information we have shows that Bell is now participating in outpatient treatment for substance abuse. ‘Drake needed to take time to receive therapy and focus on his health,’ the insider claims.
Drake Bell and Janet Von Schmeling’s Relationship
Dating since 2013, the 36-year-old “Drake & Josh” celebrity and the 28-year-old Von Schmeling tied the knot in a small ceremony in 2018.
It appears that Von Schmeling and her son have relocated to the Sunshine State. We hear she finally got the house she was looking for and is receiving help from her loved ones.
“In the past, they experienced a great deal of beauty. He should prioritize his health so that they can be excellent co-parents, suggests a reliable source.
“Drake couldn’t have picked a worse time for this. But when he’s healthy and sober, he’s an amazing father.
Bell has experienced choppy seas before. From an event in 2017, he faced two felony counts of attempted child endangerment and spreading matters harmful to adolescents, to which he pleaded guilty in 2021.
Bell received a two-year probation and community service term.
The adult woman he allegedly met online attended his concert in Cleveland in 2017, according to the prosecution. The police stated Bell had sent the girl “inappropriate social media messages.”
His ex-girlfriend, Melissa Lingafelt, accused him of verbal and physical abuse in 2020, and he was arrested for driving under influence that year.
