India’s U-17 women’s team will head to Italy and Norway to participate in two tournaments to get ready for the FIFA U-17 World Cup. The U-17 Women’s World Cup will take place in India in October-November.
The young tigresses will participate in two competitions while visiting Italy from June 22-26 and Norway from July 1-7 for the Open Nordic Tournament WU16. This will be the squad’s first time participating in the Nordic tournament.
According to the All India Football Federation, India will play against Italy on June 22 at the Gradisca d’lsonzo Stadium in Italy. Chile, Italy, and Mexico will also be represented, according to the same source. In the Open Nordic Tournament WU16 in Norway, eight nations—the Netherlands, India, Norway, Iceland, Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Finland, and Sweden—will compete against each other.
