The IPL Match Schedule 2023 for the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League has been announced by BCCI. The opening game of the tournament will take place on March 26 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai between Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings.
The total number of teams in IPL 2023 is ten. Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans are the two new teams that have been added to the tournament. Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Punjab Kings, and Sunrisers Hyderabad are the other teams. A mega auction was held ahead of the IPL 2023 tournament, and a total of 204 players were bought. This means that all the teams have also undergone a lot of changes since last year’s event.

IPL Match Schedule 2023 will include a total of 74 matches, the playoffs, and the final. Every team is guaranteed to play 14 matches during the league stage. The tournament will commence on March 26 and will finish on May 29.
The Indian Premier League IPL 2023 opener will see 25 percent crowd attendance in stadiums. defending champions Chennai Super Kings and last year’s runners-up Kolkata Knight Riders will face each other in the inaugural edition of the IPL.

IPL Schedule 2023 for Playoffs and Final
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has also announced the schedule of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 playoffs and final match. The TATA IPL 2023 playoffs and final will be played from 23rd May to 28th May 2023 in Chennai and Ahmedabad. Qualifier 1 will be played on 23rd May followed by the Eliminator on 24th May at the MA Chidambaram Stadium Chennai. Qualifier 2 and the IPL final will be played on the 26th and 28th of May respectively at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

IPL 2023 Format
The 16th season of the IPL (IPL 2023) will revert to the home and away format, where all the teams will play 7 home games and 7 away games respectively in the league stage. A total of 70 league-stage matches will be played across 12 venues over the course of 52 days. The format of the IPL was changed last year. Now, 10 teams are divided into two teams (Group A and Group B). Group A and Group B will be made up of five teams each. Each team will play 14 league matches. The forthcoming IPL 2023 season will include two qualifiers, one eliminator, and the championship final match.

Each team will compete in two matches with their group. They will also compete against the team from the same spot in the opposite group but on a different stage. However, all teams ranked on the same points table according to their performances will have one match each.
